"I’ve build a few of these over the years. I’d put at least 4-5 inch of wet mix on top of 4-5 of dry compacted mix depending on size and use. Make sure to hire a whacker. Also consider putting a sheet of foam in between the two layers it mates it much warmer. Personally I’d also put a soak away and pipe through too, just to future proof in case you want a small sink and or occasional loo. I say Fuck building regs on that lol, you know best what you want and how to do it not some idiot from the council " One more thing that will make it nice and also warm and save you effort. Don’t overly worry about getting the surface perfect. Just throw a tub of self levelling silicone compound on afterwards , it will cover all the imperfections , make it perfectly level and nice and warm/soft on your toes ! | |||
