Lust at first sight yes but I don’t believe in love at first sight. Falling in love happens gradually as you get to know the person. You don’t get to see all their little flaws straight away and falling in love with someone means you love every part of them , the good and the bad.

I do believe your soul recognises a kindred soul and in that instant you can feel an indescribable connection with another - it might not be a romantic love, it might be. There's some part of you that recognises the potential of something.

I think if you're both open to it, wanting it, it could be love over time. I think secondary attraction is where love starts to come into play generally. When you know more about a person, the flaws, the quirks, the qualities. You can fall for someone quickly but love blossoms in time.

Yes.

That gravity shifting need to be near them and hear their voice from the first moment they were near.

It's a beautiful thing. It doesn't always work out. My person for that lives 400 miles away now. But it was never lust. Just souls that sang to one another even if they were utterly incompatible as anything non platonic. But still love.

On a date with a girl at Bizarre Ball at the Coronet (sadly no longer) years ago - she called her friend over, saying, "come kiss my date".

Friend & I look at each other, kiss and blam!

We spent 6 years together after that so it does happen.

Yes. Well love in about an hour .

I've experienced it and it broke my heart and his too .

It was all so intense. The chemistry electric, we kissed and both had that jolt of something that made everything feel completely undeniable. It was exactly like a dream or a fairy tale .

I've never experienced anything like it before or since and I very much doubt I ever will again .

It was utterly magical but ultimately very painful for us both in the end.

And no it didn't happen here.

Even as a romantic, this is the only way I can see it happening.

Total blind date, not having seen the person but have talked/text etc to have that connection started. To then see them for the first time, yes.

When people say "first sight" do they actually mean very first glance or including the whole of the first date, very early on in the date.

I think falling out of love is more a gradual thing. It's a build up of seemingly non-consequential happenings interspersed with some biggies that really annoy. Or you could just grow apart amicably and call it a day. I've outgrown a couple of full on crazy-in-love-at-first-sight relationships I truly believed I'd be in forever

I think it’s possible to meet someone and know fairly quickly, not instantly, that you could fall for them, possibly fall in love, but it still takes time.

Yes , when you meet someone and (wow) that’s powerful and the honeymoon period is awesome but it can happen again with another , it’s an infatuation and chemical reaction in the body , dopamine/testosterone /endorphins and oxytocin all play apart but as for true undying love I very much doubt it … says us on a swinging site

I think it also comes through service, loyalty etc. what people do for you , the sacrifices they make etc out of how they feel , that’s real love .

Too much love too quickly is often just insecurity and wanting to cling on to them

Depends what you consider love to be.

I'd say you get an instant zing of chemistry.

But we all know you can loathe a person in spite of chemistry.

Love takes time for me. Only if I learn and know and trust and bond with a person on a deeper level than lust would I say I love them.

I was a cynic too but it happened to me big time. Literally love at first sight and that love grew with time.

Unfortunately it wasn't equal and I believe that he fell in lust/infatuation sadly ...

It's over now but no hard feelings and I actually like the person I've come out of it, the experience has been a positive

Will I get over it? Probably not, though I am content now and that is a definite plus

I think those that haven't felt never will believe it's possible and those that have just know that it is ...
