We've had films of 2013 so what games of 2013 are you looking forward to getting?

For me it'd be 360 games:

Rainbow 6 Patriots

GTAV

Aliens: Colonial Marines

Deadpool

Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Bioshock Infinite

Dead Space 3

Hitman HD trilogy

I was gonna buy a Wii U...firstly for zombie U

then zelda

unfortunately the machine is still being overshadowed by the better marketing and mass produced xbox/ps3 games

Gotta agree with the Zombi U game. Looks really good. The idea where if your character gets bit then you're a zombie, then you respawn and have to track that zombie down is a good one.

Ninty are the best for innovation but went for the casual market with the Wii. Hopefully they'll go for the hardcore market with the Wii U.

Give em a year (but by then the next Xbox and ps4 will be close to release) and they'll show you what can be done with the machine.

Also totally up for ZombieU ... I was laughing at Nintendo having another "gimmick" console until I heard about that game and how it uses the new controller. Having said that the reviews I've read which say that the environments are very static with very 90s style objects (phones, bins, furniture) which are essentially welded to the ground puts me off a bit.

Dead space 3 is my big game for next year the story and the atmosphere of the first too were amazing... Tho 2 was edging towards arcade shooter. 3 does have some worries tho... Change of environment and co-op story could spoil it a bit.. But I'm willing to see how it pans out.

I couldn't do the last boss on DS2 didn't have the ammo and I wasn't going through it again

Yeah exactly... No matter how good the game looks... Shit like having small pot plants that prevent you going down a corridor will always fuck me off. I just sit there thinking of games like arena and daggerfell made 10-15 years ago that gave you whole continents. And some game designer in a modern game thinks that small inanimate objects should impede a grown person from stepping over them... Grrrrrrrrrr

Oh and please revisit DS2 its definitely worth it.. Sad to say I have all achievements from all the games .. Including ignition... Even got the Wii for the half decent on extraction.

Actually played that demo the other day... After res4 (I think) it all became so wooden and awful that's when dead space was a breath of fresh (musty dead space ship) air.

Yeah the hunting is a bit of a chore really... But I'm a completionist and the game is very pretty so I can live with it.

Just finished xcom tho its not as good as the original and not as cerebral .. It still brings back enough fond memories
