Gary Glitter Back Inside

Chelmsford

Reports that Gary Glitter who was a big pop star in he 70 s with a string of hits is back in jail having broken his bail conditions by searching the dark web. He will be up before the prison governor and no mistake and probably in solitary for a while. Could it be that some ex cons prefer life behind bars... It's all over the news

East London

I just glanced at the newspapers as I left the shop and The Sun are claiming it was them that got him back inside.

I'm not buying a copy to find out if it's true.

To actually answer your original post, yes i do think some prefer it inside. They are protected and have everything they need. Food heating gym healthcare.

Unlike most ex-prisoners, he's widely known, so being on the outside won't be all sunshine and roses. There'll be many who see it as their job to punish him.

They were good Pop music and songs for the time, I still have some records of his. Do I admit that I saw him life about 6 times, the last time was about 1984.

He deserves what he gets though

Not all that North of North London

"To actually answer your original post, yes i do think some prefer it inside. They are protected and have everything they need. Food heating gym healthcare.

Interestingly I have a friend that has just been released from prison (not for offences anything like this) and he has posted an absolutely heartbreaking post about how life in prison was better than his life in a halfway house which he finds hell. In prison he was supported around his alcohol addiction and he was working within their education system supporting prisoners who were trying to better themselves while inside. His current life lacks structure, lacks support and lacks any real opportunity.

So after less than a year he finds himself institutionalised, I can see why someone like Glitter might want to be back in there.

Possibly why many re-offend to get back inside.
