I’ll throw in a vote for G’n’R.

If it’s Sweet Child ‘o Mine and Paradise City versus Livin’ on a Prayer and You Give Love a Bad Name … then G’n’R are giving the New Jersey boys a kicking.

"Who's best??

"

Music is a matter of Opinion,it's a people thing, bands don't know if a Multimillionaire has bought their album or a person struggling to make ends meet ..a €10 is a €10..but to answer the question asked if those two bands were playing at the same time in different venues and you could only go to one ..it's G'n'R for me

lol I agree I was born in 86. Hair bands played mostly to females back in the 80s. Journey Bon Jovi... Ect.. looking at the genre my favorites are GnR motley Rush ( love rush because of neil). Everyone has a taste of something I love dummers Bonham pert and my favorite currently jon Larson from Volbeat. But I have to give GnR props astounding vocals and one of the best guitarist.

Delightful Bliss

Always Guns and Roses. I learned every word to every song as a teen, spent hours scribing them, after almost wearing out the tape playing and rewinding, to catch what was sung.

You could be mine is my ultimate favourite song and it also inspired my dabbling into learning how to play the drums

Depends what era. They both emerged of course in the 80s so both had long, long careers...

Early part of their careers? Jovi were good. Very good. But nothing could touch the 'danger' of early GnR

Mid-point? GnR were all at sea and pretty much washed up with Axl & hired guns (pun intended) not going on stage til after 11pm and such unprofessional antics but Jovi (even when they lost Sambora) were a steady, reliable ship and much better live.

Today? The (partly) reformed 'original' GnR are a stadium rock tour de force. Axl sounding great and they're - in the main - reliable. Jovi though recently have suffered with Jon's voice sadly shot-to-hell

GnR for me. Think Bon Jovi went downhill after Keep The Faith. They've done some good tracks, but the earlier albums were far better. If you've not heard it I recommend listening to Richie Sambora's solo album Stranger In This Town.
