Jilted

Found out a work colleague had the hots for me!

Got in touch, thought she was very genuine, next thing I know she left me hanging all day, didn’t reply, message,

By night time finally messaged to say she went on a date with the ideal guy, and couldn’t go ahead with meeting me anymore! Never felt soo jilted before any idea on how best to get over her?

Sure you weren’t just being messed about?

Sounds a bit suspect to me.

Ohhhhhh that is rough, I’m so so sorry to hear that x

How closely do you work with her? Do you see her everyday? In a way, this might be fate that made this happen. You could find a better job out of it…

Sounds like you were plan b. If that was the case, you had a good escape and hopefully Ms Right will be along soon x

We were paired up working on same units took her under my wing as was a very new starter, kept my feelings for her on a very professional level, only found out on Saturday this week went out with her and a genuine mutual friend who set up our meet saying we would be a match made in heaven

If she's that fickle then you've probably dodged a bullet. Don't let it get you down.

Sorry, but is there really anything to get over? From what you've posted you went out with her once.

There was no relationship. No commitment. Nothing to stop either of you deciding not to continue anything.

If that experience is something greater than any you've had before (just going by your use of the word 'never') then that means you've not actually been in a relationship before.

Sorry OP but this scenario is more like the kind you experience at school where you fancy someone for a while, they think they like you too, you go on a date and they change their mind.

If that sounds harsh then apologies. But this isn't a relationship break up - one never started.

A

Sorry that happened to you the best thing you could do is act like it doesn’t bother you at all that will really get to her.

It’s happened to alot of us and especially when you work with her and could be embarrassing as much as you have every right to feel that way or let down. I’d probably feel the same if I was you.

( don’t let anyone tell you how you should feel)

She doesn’t sound the nicest of people so I would definitely say she done you a favour.

Move onto better things

It just would have been better if she had given me a little time to woo her

One date and she’s decided he’s ideal?

She makes rash judgements. You don’t need those.

She has a shopping list of wants. You got your own.

She saw you as a back up. You’re not a back up. Life ain’t a cop show.

She moved faster. You stay in your lane.

She will txt you to pick it up. You’re busy baby.

Could be that she decided not to mix her work, and her social life. Which isn't a bad decision in my opinion.
