I don't blame you, any management is like being parent to a dysfunctional family

Wherever I lay my hat

I finished work on Friday. Done. Every Sunday night at some point I would be checking emails, Teams messages, diary for the week ahead... Feeling this sense of dread and impending doom. The reality of never having that again has yet to sink in... But when it does it is going to feel fucking amazing. Sending big hugs to all of you dreading tomorrow. Those of you who are literally loving your work... You are truly blessed and long may it continue x

"I feel physically sick on a Sunday afternoon thinking work. I need a job I enjoy…"

Oh nothing worse than being in a job you don't enjoy. Hope you try and have a relaxing evening x

I work in a Day Nursery as a Nursery teacher/supervisor/DSL and third in charge, I love it, in charge of the Toddlers lol it's demanding and fast paced but it's certainly not boring lol x

I used to be an NVQ assessor of Childcare prior, that was soul destroying....I loved seeing the learners develop, but for every good learner there were 10 who just couldn't be bothered no matter what approach I used. Got fed up of driving miles to settings to be told the learner was either on the sick or not done the work set....wasn't long before I realised I needed to be back with the children....I've done it all from managing a Nursery to Deputy, can't sit in an office prefer to be up and doing stuff so my job suits me

IT consultant, mostly wfh since covid. Fits in well with other activities like triathlon training. I think I would find it difficult to go back to 5 days in the office; especially as most of my work tends to be London and I'm based in a village near Leeds.

I'm lucky I don't work on Mondays, I don't miss that feeling on a Sunday.

I used to love my job, I do activities in a nursing home and don't get me wrong I absolutely love helping to make sure everyone's grandparents last year's are happy ones, I love making them smile or laugh but after 7 years doing the job on and off, I feel it might be time for a change, mentally for me, I feel like I need to get my teeth into something new.

This time last year I felt like that. The Monday blues started Sunday lunchtime and I hated that feeling, so I looked for another job.

I now work for a charity and I love it, no more feeling blue about work.

I worked yesterday.

I worked today.

I do most weekends so Monday is just another day with a 'y' in it.

Quite often I actually have no idea what day of the week it is.

The joys of self employment....
