Brighton - even Hove!

As a matter of minor interest, do you know what note he can hear? I had tinnitus once and it was a very clear A#

One could have it in the background and hum a complimentary few notes.

SomewhereOnlyWeKnow

May go, may not. Noise damage tinnitus once its there is there for good pretty much if the hairs in the cochlea are damaged.

Might be worth a hearing test to see if it has had an affect.

just somewhere around here

I have evidence of tinnitus...my hearing is totally shot years of industrial noise and spending many years as a guitar/backline tech screwed my hearing.

One example was we used to use a fine jigsaw blade to cut decorative veneer, the high pitch sound of the cut even with protection was horrific. We had a noise analysis guy come in to check DB Levels the moment I started to cut he stopped me it was around 110db ...totally unacceptable

I dunno if it could go. I suffer with it and it’s been about ten years. Some days are worse than others.

Manchester

Waiting to go back to see the audiologist and neurologist with tinnitus, it's made me sensitive to noise around me and in a pub environment I can end up not being able to hear a conversation. So far no cure or quick fix

BRIDPORT

I don’t know if it will ease or go completely, some peoples it does, some it doesn’t.

I do find always having some background noise available, for me it’s the wireless, seems to help deflect it from my attention.

If it’s quiet and all you can hear is the tinnitus, tends to drive me bonkers.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

I've had tinnitus for around seven years. It's quite loud tonight and is drowning out my tv. Some days I barely notice it. I've had all the tests and there is nothing that can be done.

Though would recommend researching reputable/NHS websites for legitimate advice rather than social media/forums/tiktok etc
