Exfoliate

Use a fresh razor I prefer the men’s ones

Lightly pat your skin dry don’t rub it with the towel

I don’t wear underwear that’s tight or will irritate my skin after shaving.

Veet, but very careful about the parts it touches. And don't do it just before a meet as it can leave you stinging for a while.
