How many here like to take part in a team sport which isn’t sex?

Although if you like a team sport as well as ‘team’ sex please do feel free to reply!

I can function in a team, and lead high risk teams for 15 years, but I do my best work on my own.

BRIDPORT

I play a team sport every week and am part of an organised league with several divisions.

I also play the same sport in the Individuals and Pairs sections.

Some good responses here, although the definition of ‘sports’ can of course be be broad!

Does anyone else ever wonder about their teammates’ other interests too?

I still play football on Saturdays (when I'm not working). 5 a side on Tuesday night. Used to play darts for a local pub on a Monday, I was shit but always managed 5-6 pints. It was more of a social thing than a competitive game.

A few pints post-match is an essential part of team sorts for many!

I used to play a team game to a good standard but because of the professionalism the social aspect wasn’t that involved

Was in football teams most of my life - starting with Little League from when I was about 8!

Nothing formal anymore - just regular 5-a-side with mates, though tempted to give a vets' team a go sometime if I can devote the time to it again...

I played Rugby quite competitively when I was younger, but now after injury (broken ankle) I cycle as it’s low impact.

Professionalism (official and otherwise) is the bane of my sport. It’s great when you beat a pro.

When a terrible team carry an air of invincibility (and arrogance) because they have one guy… that can be irksome!

No, I've never been a big Dan of team sports. I think it's not liking having other people reliant on me, if I screw up I'd much rather it only affected me

We have a saying in our team,

‘When we win, we win as a team’

‘When we lose…….. it’s your fault’

As you can tell, we don’t take winning and losing too seriously.

M here.

I used to play football and street hockey. Then got into American Football at the ripe old age of 40. Now days I keep it to throw plastic balls at people in the form of airsoft and that gives me the team kick whilst tickling the old military itches from my you get years.
