Away for Christmas

And I'm not quite sure what to have. Leaning toward take away but I really shouldn't and even then I still don't know.

So I'm coming over to your place for tea/dinner (I cater for North and South). What are we having tonight?

I'm thinking the Chinese near mine does a cracking Hong Yu.

And if they don't do munchie boxes down in Scouseland, they are mandatory if you come up here

I tried to make pasties the other day, they were a reasonable success but they weren't. Tonight it's salmon and veg

.

I'm in a rather lazy mood, it's been a long day (so long that I almost cried with relief when the taxi was approaching home).

So, tapas. Lots of good fresh, crusty bread. Olive oil with balsamic. Tricolore salad. Garlicky chilli prawns. Homemade meatballs in an ovenroasted tomato sauce. Manchego. Grapes. Cherries.

And then we can play some video games in comfortable silence.

That sounds fabulous Meli We are having supernoodles, with stir-fried chicken and veggies. My phone corrected supernoodles to supermodels - that would be a more interesting dinner

i think we might be having pie and mash this evening.. something about the snow outside making it seem that much heartier

but here's the dilemma.. i want mine with loads of veggies (peas, broccoli, carrots, squtternut bosh etc) and gravy. Because this is how it should be!!

whereas the Mr wants his with beans!?

WTF.

Sooo you can either choose correctly and have a pie dinner.. Or side with him and have none

I've just put on a huge pot of veggie soup.

It's the weather for it.

Tartiflette!!! Perfect for very cold weather. It involves potatoes, onions, bacon, cream, reblochon cheese and a bit of white wine.

Cottage pie. Getting good at this now, only problem is that I normally end up eating the lot in one sitting.
