"This isn't directed at anyone here, just a general observation. In my experience the only labels you need to worry about in life fall into two catagories; 1. Labels that are actually important, such as 'poison', 'danger', 'may contain nuts', 'zombies ahead', 'reactor core at critical mass' etc. 2. Labels that are deliberately meant to be offensive, a few examples are 'nigger', 'spic', 'towel-head' - easy to spot generally aren't they? The ones you don't need to worry about are those used by ordinary people who have no hidden agenda or deliberate intention to cause offence with their labelling. Sometimes these labels are used in all innocence and it's usually pretty clear when that is the case. Maybe if we all accept that a bit more and give the benifit of the doubt to people we might all find we get on a lot better. Also if we accept when people correct our labelling they are not accusing us of anything then that helps too; they are, again, merely showing an opinion and arguing such issues often looses sight of the bigger picture behind them. Just my thoughts of course, yours will no doubt vary and may well contain nuts. "Does FAT ARSE go in list 1 or list 2 ? | |||
