I received this as a message earlier from a dick pic.

Now, no one aside from friends and family has ever told me they love me.

I must say I'm a bit gutted that this is the way it happened for the first time, or at least the first time that I can recollect.

I know they don't really love me, and I know they likely were stroking their cock as they wrote it, and I know for them it was probably a throwaway expression of desire that wasn't intended to have any weight behind it, such as "I think you're hot" or "I love your cock".

I've had all manor of crude, depraved and filthy messages in my inbox and it's all water off a ducks back to me.

But for some reason this message landed with a real thud when I read it. It's stupid that it's bothered me this much, it really shouldn't have.

They're just meaningless words...

There was no real question I wanted to ask or point I wanted to make with this post, but it raised some thoughts and feelings for me and I figured I'd just share.

Sadly some people use 'love' as a throw away comment rather than what you appear to hold, which is a true meaning behind it. Try not to let it play on your mind and hopefully you'll hear it one day in the correct context with true meaning behind it x

Yeah I know there wasn't any real meaning behind it, it was just a bit of a shock I guess.

Firstly op - I hope one day you’ll meet a special person who says that and means it.

Words of love aside - I think the longer you’re on here the more you learn to take the avalanche of false compliments with a very large grain of salt.

The compliments we value are the ones from people who mean something to us - others are fairly superfluous.

I already do take all the fawning and adulation with a pinch of salt, it's always appreciated and I would miss it if it stopped, but I am aware it's not often given with any thought behind it.

The person who wrote it probably cleaned themself off and forgot all about it by now

It is noticeable that the vast majority of blokes on here just use a single small x when blowing a kiss in their profile text or forum posts. It looks so mean. It is as if they are frightened of typing it.

I'm sure women fabbers have more generosity in the kissing department.
