What would you do if you suspect someone is cheating but you can’t gather hard evidence, but also know if you confront them about it and you are wrong, it will fuck everything up?

Why would it fuck everything up by talking to them about your concerns?

surrounded by twinkly lights

If I suspected he was cheating on me I've lost all trust in him anyway, so nothing to lose talking to him about my thoughts.

"Why would it fuck everything up by talking to them about your concerns?"

It’s been a weird relationship over the past year or so and things could get better but if I talk to them it could go very sour very quickly

Calderdale innit

Go with your gut op,you're suspicious for a reason

If I suspected my partner to be cheating I'd be sitting and having a chat with them asap.

You find a way to get some hard evidence... Or it could just all be in your mind.

I'd think it over very carefully. The use of 'confront ' and 'catch them out' while saying you could be wrong don't sit well with me. Be sure that you have valid concerns and if an honest discussion would threaten your relationship maybe address that first.

Always evidence, late working, cum covered boxers (they forget you usually do the washing) hiding phone, always moody and defensive the list goes on. From past experience even if you confront them they’ll just deny it and carry on regardless
