If a guy told a woman...

If a guy told a woman he had feelings for her after being good friends for at least three years; does this ever go down well with women? Or does it instantly ruin the friendship and any chance of romance.

Thanks in advance ?

.

I guess it all depends how feels about him doesn't it. I imagine it could make things very uncomfortable for both people if she doesn't feel the same way

Carlisle usually

Um.

Depends on the woman, the man, and how it's put across I think.

Personally I'd feel fucken weird about it if it took 3 years to realise, and probably think they'd been deliberately hiding it from me for a while, and I have some real issues around openness and honesty that would probably make me want to take a step back and think about it properly for a while.

Even if it ruins the friendship, you needed to say it.

You own your balls, now, if rejection there is, take it like a champ and drink some lychee juice x

Gapping Fanny

Just admire her from afar, and continue sneaking into her house to steal her clothes to wank into!

Ruined. Unless she thinks the same way, And you’ll already know if she does if your smart. *sorry, they will know.

I would never ever reveal my feeling first again. But I’d advise anyone who has feeling of something that resembles love to just go with it and say those words. Life is short and love between two people is one of the most precious things in life. To watch it fade before that story begins is an aweful waste.

If it’s not meant to be, you’ll at least know. *sorry! THEY.

You won't know how she feels about that unless you ask her, have that conversation!

East London

My long term buddy told me on WhatsApp that he definitely loved me, about 5 years after we first started seeing each other.

It's been 13 years now and nothing changed in our relationship.

The sex became more sensual and passionate over the years, but nothing else changed and we're still seeing each other and having amazing sex.

It all depends on the man and the woman.

I'm not looking for someone like him to have a committed relationship with, so we're safe.

You can love someone and not live with them.

Worthing

If it's taken 3 years then probably missed the "window" that women give to take friendship further.

I think there's only a very slim chance that you'd get a response that you'd hope for in this situation. You would probably have had signs if there was attraction returned.

I'd feel strange after being told that myself. It would and has previously made me uncomfortable finding out that someone who I see as non-sexual has had sexual thoughts about me. Kind of lands near the inc*stuous end of the scale if you see a guy as a mate/brotherly type.

And going forward, always wondering if there are times the other person is thinking romantically about a fictitious 'us' when there are purely social things happening.

Policing myself to the nth degree to be sure there are no mixed messages or hurt feelings.

It'd be the start of the end of the friendship.

Feelings ? Do you mean he wants love aka sex ?

If ive been friends with someone for 3 years I generally do have feelings for them..

Looking at the odds / logic of it all ...

A is FRIENDS with B

A says wanna be more than?

Possible outcomes.

1. Yes.... = they get it on.

2. No.... = things continue as before.

3. No .. = B no longer wants to be just friends and they split.

4. No = A no longer wants to be just friends and they split.

Hmmmmmmmm 25% chance of them getting it on. Or 100% chance without A knowing what B is thinking.

On the other hand ..... if you don't try then the odds are 100% no.

Go for it.
