I did for years. So if it disappeared yes.

But if it’s still there : I’ll still use it as how else will I get a regular fix of boobie pics otherwise?

The first time I sat in a gp surgery and he googled my symptoms, then printed me out an advice sheet from the net I knew we'd gone a long way down the path of internet dependence

My phone broke last year. Didn’t get another one for a month because it felt so liberating. Not being at peoples beck and call 24/7, no social media. It was bliss. Only got one again because they are handy little things after all.

I think we've all come to rely on the Internet, probably more so than is healthy or wise. However the genie is now out of the bottle.

Away for Christmas

"It might actually do the world some good!"

Considering how much of the world is connected by it, and how many advances have been made due to it, no. It would cause the world to descend in to a chaos that it is not prepared for.

That is far from good. The Internet and its uses extend far beyond than just social media.

I wouldn't like it, but I'd survive if I had to -- I've been using the web since the 1990s; it's made my life better in nearly every area.

Even my home is full of smart tech --everything from my lights to my kettle rely on the Internet to function properly.

Wherever I lay my hat

It's hell. I had 12 hours without it at home a week or so ago (no TV, couldn't access my bank account etc) and have had no access whilst travelling a few times (no Google Maps, can't message when you can't find your Airbnb etc). Scary how dependent we have become on it

I did it for a week when moving house and really enjoyed it, just watched DVDs, read more and I genuinely thought I could keep up with it when I finally got internet. It didn't last long

Does all that feel necessary though. I mean you can switch on your own lights and kettle.

I probably actually could in the end yes. I would be at the library more and would need the phone book and local newspaper and bank to become more comprehensive again. I couldnt ever do without print though, and do feel nervous about everything going online that should be on lovely bits of paper.

"No. I wouldn’t have a business or a job. "

It's the other way around with me. My job would be better if the internet was never invented.

All I keep getting are people telling me they can find things cheaper online.

It's a big NO from us, our business is internet based, before the internet I run a similar business but was no where near capable of earning what todays costs are.

Same I didn't get into it until later in life.

I see kids spending hours on I-pads everyday and I just think they should be out playing.

I'm old enough to remember a time before the Internet existed.

I'd probably get a lot more done without it
