How odd.....

A number of people have been putting a status that they aren't allowed to mail or have reached their limit.....

when I was a single guy I used to send A LOT of mails and was not always a gold member.......I never ran up against a limit on my mails, has anyone else?

If you're not a site supporter, then you do have a limit on the number of mails you can send or receive
