"Why do I need to rescue one of them? The insurance will only pay out if 2 people witness the accident " How old is the child? They may not be a reliable witness if they are too young.

"By choosing one you are condemning one to death. That death would be your responsibility. Logically then one response would be to do nothing. " but then are you not responsible for two deaths?

"the other will die. Who do you save? I read this on a psychological test. Interesting conundrum. save them and let myself drown" but your in the boat,, so to end 3 lives instead of save one doesnt make sense to me

"Why do I need to rescue one of them? The insurance will only pay out if 2 people witness the accident " Who gives a damn about the insurance payout-rescue them both and screw the cash. Lives are more important than money

"Or this could be a trick question where the partner is pregnant …. Eh! what if your partner is a man?" We’d get top billing in The Sunday Sport….. “Pregnant man in boat rescue drama”

",,,,,,,Obviously....Whichever one floated ….Duh..... So you'd save the witch? " Well yeah,,,,, after-all they would be so much easier to rescue,,,,, you just grab hold of their pointy hat and pull …

"It won't happen as I do not have kids! However, if both the cat and the dog are in the water, I would rescue the cat first as the dog is a better swimmer. " I have two cats. I'd save the black tabby as she's not a great swimmer. The fluffy ginger one has already fallen off my boat three times and manages to get back on unaided

"None of the passengers on the boat would be onboard without a life jacket in the first place and my child certaintly would not be left unsupervised at any time! so therefore Hopefully i would not have put myself in the position to have to choose who to save! Billy" What if it were a Titanic situation?

"Fine, but he this is a psyche test, what does it mean he someone chooses one or the other?" it means you want the one you saved in your life more than the one you dont i suppose

"Fine, but he this is a psyche test, what does it mean he someone chooses one or the other?" Apparently the logical answer is to save the partner as they were someone you selected and you can have more sprogs . The emotional answer is to save the kid as you are a protector. The test says you should choose the partner. I don't have kids, so its easy for me. If it was based on saving my ex and her daughter.. I would save the ex everytime and sail off before the kid could clamber aboard!

I think it depends on more than that... how much food you have, how long you will be on the boat, how big the icebox is and is it just one of those little gas stoves. A child would be easier to cook but wouldn't last as long as an adult.

I think i can honestly say if i left my own child to die i would never have any more children, you cant replace a child and i wouldnt see myself fit to bring another child into this world after i had let my last one die when i could have saved them If i tried and failed i would have to accept i did my best but to leave them to die because i favoured saving someone else over them i could never live with myself Theres noones life i value over my children, my children are forever and the only people in my life who will always be there

"I'd rescue both and sacrifice myself against the rules" you said two people had to witness it and implied only enough room in raft for two so if I save both two of them will witness it and then insurance still pays out. but if you insist ill save my child.

I am sure both sexes are equally logical and able to compile tests
