Coffee shortage predicted

Cheeseville, Somerset

Just seen this online and all I can say is

Seriously. I'm panic buying in the morning because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

I like sex and a coffee free me would likely wake up with his dick in a box after just 24 hrs without a brew. I'm probably impossible to live with/tolerate for more than a few hours caffeine free.

Anyone else worried by the news?

Why hasn't Tom already warned us?

A

There will always be a coffee shop where you can get your fix.

Relax. Take it easy. And breathe.

Defo be a storage now as everyone rushes out and buy 100 jars of the stuff.

Wakey Wines will be selling Nescafé for a £100 next week.

Shortages will be the norm until it becomes the ‘new normal’. All part of ‘building back better’.

To be fair, there might actually be a genuine shortage in the coming years due to global warming and the effect that has on the crops that need specific environments to thrive.

On the other hand, I have seen more research surrounding robusta varieties and getting the best out of them as they grow in lower altitude with greater yield. Hope it doesn't have to come to that, but every cloud I guess.

Sunniest Exeter...

"Is there a shortage?

Not yet, but there will be as soon as people start hoarding "

This, shortages are mainly caused by panic buying, remember the non-existant "petrol shortage" or toilet roll-gate, or for those a bit older, when watchdog told everyone to buy a papershredder!

Our economy is based on Just in Time delivery so any "abnormal" purchases take time for the logistics to catch up. Just do what you normally do, and only panic whem govt tells you not to panic!

Happy Friday

Exactly. Any problem will likely be caused by the media making a mountain out of a mole hill and causing panic buying
