Last night's episode was just the last straw for me. I can take a bit of poetic licence but the whole thing was just ridiculous!

I must confess to rather having a soft spot for it

It’s admittedly as sappy as all hell (‘Oooo Patrick!’) but is pleasant and gentle Sunday evening viewing.

If they ever kill off Sister Monica Joan though, I’m out!

(Can I also proclaim my undying lust for Nancy here too?)

I watched the last two series because I had a soft spot for it too and it was my mum's favourite but I think even she would have had enough after last night. I suspect Nancy gets more can mail than Nurse Crane . I admit I thought sister Monica Joan was a gonner last week.

Would now be a good time to say that I look forward to a gentle, non demanding hour of Death in Paradise too.
