No. If I got a point in a relationship where I didn't trust them it would be over

After cutting their brake lines the bugging would seem a bit superfluous.

I'm going to say yes just to see how many forumites now run out and strip search their cars.

Sauce for the goose, etc.

If you suspect them of cheating, and get it confirmed, maybe you should note that you are in a swingers website and don't really occupy much of a moral highground. It could lead to a conversation about how both of you don't need to keep secrets and swing together.

OK, so years ago I placed a bug on the land line phone (this was before the general use of mobile phones) what I would say is be prepared to hear people who you thought were friends saying horrible things about you. But also wonderful people being honest and straightforward. I could only handle it for about 4 weeks, then removed the device. In that time I found out who were and who was not a friend, the results shocked me as much as the deception.

Amazing how so many couples, back in the day, unwittingly bugged themselves with analogue baby alarms.

Typically, if they had a one bedroom starter home with the baby's cot in the corner of the room.

Now they do it with the software they collect on their smartphones!

I'm fascinated by this notion.

Surely most would keep quiet, not rock the boat, and and use the opportunity as a green light to do the same?

Exactly this! If you’re on fab and they don’t know, why shouldn’t they play away with you not knowing?

Either way, there is a fundamental lack of trust and deception going at least one way. Relationship over, as far as I’m concerned.

Why? People cheat for so many reasons. Surely if you love the person you can at least talk about it, before making an informed decision, and not just have a knee jerk reaction.

I had a bad gut feeling once and asked my partner outright. I'd do it again too if I ever felt like something wasn't right.

I don’t see the need for games when it comes to this type of shite.

I don’t have the energy to go through the cycle of suspicion, denial, catching them in the act and repeat again.

I’d end the relationship at suspicion, as the trust is gone then anyway.

For what purpose though, Tom? For security reasons, ok. To record people who don’t know they’re being recorded having sex would probably be seen as voyeurism regardless of the reason for doing it

It's unforgivable for me, I wouldn't be interested in finding out why they done it. The trust would be gone and so would the relationship.

It isn’t, but you do need signs placed at entrance to home saying CCTV is in use.

Also, the sexual offences act comes into place when you record someone in the act without their permission.
