I've been doing it since 1995, you'd think I'd be used to it by now..

Done them all my life, tried every possible scenario. None of them work. We're not wired to work shifts

I finished work at 0400 this morning, bed at 0515. Up again at 0900. Stayed awake until 1830, up again at 2130 and still awake now with no signs of sleep anytime soon. If yeah and I have an appointment at 0930 tomorrow. This ain't going to end well.

Cloud 8

I used to work 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. Great shift pattern as they go but it used to bugger up my body clock, too.

I’d wake up at 3am on rest days and need 20 cups of coffee on nights.

Glad I don’t have to do it anymore. Do you have any coping strategies?

I've worked that shift, it was OK until you threw in a night or 2 of overtime

About once ever 3 month's or so I have to skip a day (not sleep for 36 hours) just to get mine back in sync and I've not worked shifts in 15 year's

Defo agree shift work is exhausting were sleep is concerned. Been doing shift in various patterns and can never catch it up. Always feeling tired
