How does everyone watch tv?

I've got a very old sat box with the two old fashioned ariel connections going in the back. My tv isn't HD and the box isn't

I've no itv and now no BBC

Any suggestions? Freesat? Or something else?

I'm not down with technology so simplify it please lol

Freeview box, only a tenna 2nd hand.

It connects to your TV, and you plug the airiel from your roof intohe back of it.

You'll get all the standard channels like BBC + itv and a ton of others, about 100 channels in all.

I use a Roku box. Everything I watch is on either Disney +, Netflix, Amazon Prime and other streaming platforms.

If I want to watch anything on the main TV channels I'll just use their catch up services or stream it live

I'm guessing @Miss piggy44 that you have a very old tv, maybe not even a flat screen but a CRT ?

Asking that because if it is a CRT, your choices will only get less over time.

Have to be honest after my LED TV blew recently, the countless TV's I looked at you get baffled by good and bad features, value v's expensive, freesat, freeview, freeview play. The one you like is never in stock or had bad reviews. It seems all channels need you to sign up by email to get their services. Freeview play does seem the better option from what I found

I had to Google that. No i have flat screen but it's over 12 years old. I've got scart to sky box. I've got PlayStation in the hdmi. Two old cables go into the sky box the old type where you have to screw in lol

Ditto. Just get a Roku tv OP, no faffing about

If you have an HDMI input on the tv, then just buy an Amazon firestick. It can and will give you all the normal free to air channels as well as paid to air channels.

I have a fancy thing with a Netflix button plugged into a SkyQ box..I don't know anything about it, if it requires anything other than Sky or Netflix I need to call in my son to help

Plenty of stuff online. Youtube has some good channels. If tv has hdmi and you have laptop, connect up.

I use AMAZON firestick. I subscribe to Netflix and Prime but loads of other free to view stuff available via Firestick. You do need to have WiFi.

Have you gone into the settings on the TV and done a re-tune/scan for new channels?

I have a firestick and pay for Prime, Netflix, Disney plus and sky channels through Now TV. Then have free stuff like iPlayer and other catch up channels. I haven't had a TV Ariel for over 5 years.

Or a 2nd hand Freesat box as you already have a dish
