Normally don't have ours up so early, and to be honest I hate all this decor stuff, find it tacky and horrible, it's my pet peeve, but do it for the kids, yeah Ms Rooney and our little un, lol.

we went tree and decs shopping sat and figured it was easier to put it up then that put it away for a week or two, so it's up.

warrington

I usually would have put mine up this last weekend...but off to stay with family for a week in the morning and there was no way I was leaving my beautiful tree unattened to the mercy of my cats...so 1st of Decemebr for me thius year. There was a year I put it up on Bonfire night...I'd been burgled a couple of days early and was totally pissed off....putting my tree up cheered me up no end

Although I do like to put it up early, I always take it down again before new year...I like to start the new year with everthing tidy....all the decs away, washing and ironing up to date etc

"When should one be erecting their xmas tree?"

Is there ever a bad time for an erection ... we buy ours and put it up usually fortnight before Xmas ... we tend to get real ones so dont want a stick in a bucket

Back of Beyond

My outside one, by the front door went up on sunday. The one for inside went up but not decorated till this weekend. The reason for that is we bought a new ceramic 'santa' base for it. Needed to see if it would hold the tree upright and do modifications if it wouldn't. I had to shim it out with some plastic pipe!

A world of my own

Usually about a week and half before Xmas, spend a lot of time decorating the fireplace ( have a huge brick one ), colours in livingroom gold and red, in dining room red and green.
