I think on the top of what has already been said, people have unrealistic expectations of how they imagine you to be, as a person. They most often expect you to turn up for a social meet in a local coffee shop wearing stockings and heels! And are quite disappointed you didn’t. That’s at least from my experience.

My experience has been that many people expect others to dance to their tune and start whinging when they don't.

Expecting men to have no self respect and to jump when told is a big thing on here.

Expecting quality messages and effort from male profiles while offering none in return is another bone of contention.

Expecting a certain type of behaviour from everyone else while acting like a thundercunt doesn't look good on your fab CV.

This is the reality. Doing average things often just makes you great at being average.

It's the chemistry and matching your likes really carefully and getting comfortable enough with a partner to truly relax and let go that makes sex epic for me.

I had it with one because we were friends only for months. The familiarity and trust were there. The chemistry was off the charts. The likes were matched.

Obviously the 2nd meeting was better than the first and the third better than the 2nd.

People meeting as a one off can't expect that level of enjoyment imho. It takes time and effort and commitment and trust.

Maybe it's not that unrealistic - it might just be an ideal and they're stating what they're looking for and won't settle for "less" as such.

I'm quite content not having sex with someone - when I do it's generally fantastic and in the mean time I'm happy to go on dates/socials and do things my own way.

Sure, you get people who assume that you're raring to go, waxed and down to fuck/be fucked in every hole.

But the majority of those I interact with/who message me (I'd say at least 90%) don't have that notion. Maybe I've been rather lucky? Who knows. I've not had a fancy a fuck message in at least a month.

^ this has been my experience over the years. I vottoned in to this quickly. The moment arrangements are in place for a social, the questions on whether I will be fully dressed in stockings etc start (this isbwhwre thwie fabtasy starts), when I inform them that I won't be, the conversation takes a huge dip and contact ceases hence my comment regard "where fantasy starts".

One time I did turn up for a meet, i was all dresses casual/smart with stockings, the guy turned up in a washed out okd tee shirt, csrgo shorts and sliders. Immediate turn off for me and needkess to say he didn't appreciate me telling him that he waa alao required to make an effort! He was gobsmacked!

Yes, I think some (not all) men, expect some sort of experience/performance to be put on for them... Like another lady said, us turning up to a social in stockings and a sexy dress etc. And seducing them or something.

I'm sure there are some women who enjoy that aspect of the whole scene, but I think most of us are quite normal

I think we all have expectations naturally. They're built into us growing up. We learn what is expected of us and we learn whether or not we were right about our expectations then we learn from that. It's all a process.

Those expectations might just be anticipations.

A great many (I'd say most) women's/couples profiles have no consideration of the 3rd person. It's a fantasy/wish fulfilment thing, which is fair enough.

Most people here are hunting their own specific unicorn, but most don't acknowledge that.
