chillies whos growing their own ...

so whos growing there own chillies westarted ours early jan asnd they are looking good this year we are growing 37 different types from medium to super hot jalapeno to carolina reaper yellow so whos growing then are you a early starter or starting feb/march ... what types you growing ...

we cook with them we pickle them and raw on salads .,.

roll on march tomato seed to plant 20 different varities

Everglade tomatoes

Plum tomatoes

Squash.

Is the extent of our garden when planting season starts.

I buy in tiny young chilli plants instead of growing from seed. They thrive in the greenhouse, interplanted with tomatoes, basil and flat leaf parsley.

Cayenne Long Slim and Shakira. Had good results with both, and always over-winter a few plants to get an early start.

Ahhh…the infamous Carolina Reaper.

I tried one of those a few years ago.

I watched a YouTube vid of a crazy guy who actually vaped one after powdering it down and adding it to fluid…

He was subsequently left puking violently into a bucket and seriously considering calling for an ambulance. Mad bugger!

with chilli you build up to the superhots you become accustom to them and there heat ... our reapers are blended down and use under the shed as a deterant for the rats (big hotel down the road the bins attract them even tho thet are look after and very tidy) and it 100% works we have tried them in a superhot chilli hubs managed it fine im no there yet but other super hoys are fine ... also use the reaper as a bug spray outdoors again works on veg i keep it away from flowers and shurbs because of the bees dont want to harm them and for some reason or garden is bumble bee highway ... we use no chems in our garden at all

chilli is a super food and very very good for you

all chilli plants are growing fast theres now 42 different types .(seed swap was very successful) and ive used a seller on ebay for some of the more tricky plants whos provided then as 10inch bushy plants amazing roll on the summer
