Gateway to the Beacons

It’s a chilly day and I can’t get warm today.

So dinner is homemade leek and potato soup.

What’s your favourite soup?

.

Roasted butternut squash. Coconut milk. Roasted red pepper. Sage. Garlic. Sautéed onions.

It's so good. Especially with a teaspoon of crème fraiche added at the end.

Ryde

Thick Farmhouse Vegetable.

It's one soup relegated to the past, but some own-band soups (under different names) come fairly close to it.

Now, how about bringing back Brown Windsor...

Canned mushroom is my favourite, followed by leek and potato (when I can find it). I also like canned tomato soup but it invariably has too much salt in it.

All three are as enjoyable cold in summer time as they are hot in winter. Great for camping, with or without heating facilities.
