Somewhere In The Ether…

We’ve had shitty series in a thread previously so as a logical follow on, it’s the turn of films.

Yes indeed, I’m referring to films that you’ve sat down to watch but just couldn’t make it very far into on account of the said film being…..well, frankly shit.

Good folks; list me all those films you just couldn’t finish and how far in did you manage?

Same here- can't believe it won awards! self indulgent, pretentious bollocks of the highest order!

Same with Denzil Washingtons 'Fences'...just a never ending tirade of dialogue with little else of any note- think that one lasted less that 20 minutes before it was binned

"The Irishman. Holy hell was that 3 and a half hours of nothing

Not even the worst Irish-themed film ever made. That was Far And Away, with Tom cruise pretending to be Irish. Fuck … "

On the same theme I have to mention Richard Gere’s laughable Irish accent in ‘The Jackal’. Also a terrible film to boot !!!

Absolute garbage: utterly baffling which this crap is so revered and has spawned so many sequels and prequels.Tosh."

Beat me to it. I have a brother in law who sits at home dressed up as a fucking storm trooper to watch the films. In most other respects he is a decent and normal fella.

"Star Wars"

The additional cgi certainly ruined it for me. I'll add Return of the Jedi though. I recall it being rubbish on seeing it when released.

"Lost in Translation. Like Birdman, was hailed by the critics as a masterpiece......I don't think so....."

I was coming here to say that! I have tried at least 3 times to watch this film as it was so praised for some reason.

I gave up. It made no sense and bored me to the point where I just couldn't continue.

Blair Witch Project - though my aunt did make me sit through that one, much to both our detriments.
