Following the real life v online saga, is there anyone here who is a lot quieter or louder in real life than their online persona?!

Carlisle usually

Um. Maybe not shy. I'm very open about who I am and have a definite exhibitionist streak, but also I don't like to be the entire centre of attention and get super nervous approaching new people.

No. Possibly even more chatty, sarcastic and flippant in real life, plus even better at putting my foot in it and pissing off Tories.

I’m not exactly louder, but IRL I’m very gregarious, tactile and chatty which doesn’t come across online.

I'm not really that shy, I'm quite a bubbly out-going person or sometimes I can put on a front I'm not shy but in my head I'm the opposite If that makes sense?

Some people can make me nervous though, but for the good.

When I've told people online that I am shy, I get "lol no you're not!"

I 100% am though, i will stand at the back in the shadows to not be seen - irl i could never walk up to a woman i dont know and start talking to her, any attempt would result in me monologing and shooting myself down and walking away. Imagine Nate from Ted Lasso before he becomes an a-hole! That's me...

Im alot quieter in real life and when im nervous and waffle alot. Always feel like someone is trying to analyse me.

Even posting photos on here is hard for me. I have to really like it or use a filter. Think it just comes down to a lack of confidence from a very young age.

Its true when they say “ things said to you in your childhood can really effect you in later life “

Away for Christmas

I sit back, observe and listen.

I'm introverted, I'm selective in who I would like to draw the attention of.

A little shy in a sense, as I don't like to be centre of attention of focus on me (in large crowds) but not one to shy away.

I'm very much the same person online as I am in reality, but online that is definitely enhanced and I do seem much more of an attention seeker online that I actually am.

I'd still say the same shit in person as I do online though. Just in a slightly more reserved way.

I think on here I come across as very loud and obnoxious. But in real life most people wouldn't describe me like that at all. I struggle a lot with anxiety, and find it difficult to meet new people and make conversation. I can't think of anything worse than being the centre of attention and you definitely wouldn't notice me in a room as I'm reserved around people I don't know well.

Once I'm comfortable around someone you'll find pretty much the same person you see on the forums. But maybe not as self obsessed as I come across on here. I'm pretty easy going, happy and silly most of the time, but quietly so.

Always find it easier to talk to people online than in real life, find I’m awkward and being judged by people in real life, suffered bullying when I was a kid and it has always knocked my confidence.

I'm very quiet and socially awkward, I can't say I'm loud on here, but it's easier to type to random strangers than it is in person.

I’m an enigma. Depends on mood and anxiety levels on the day, how well I know people and the dynamics of the group.

Growing up I was painfully shy and some of that has remained. But I got jobs that forced me to come out of my shell and be able to talk to people I don’t know.

I’m a confident bloke 1-1 or in small groups, or in large groups where there’s no self-pressure. But I hate being the centre of attention (unless I’m giving a presentation on something about which I am confident).

Where I fall down in groups is if I feel like an outsider. Like they all know each other very well and I don’t fit in. Fab socials and clubs freak me out for that very reason.

My persona is the same in real life as on the forums, but online I don’t feel any pressure.

I’m short, I’m fantastic but slightly flawed

Online I would not say I am shy at all however I am very selective with who I speak to in a certain way. There has to be some sort of mutal connection there for it to happen.

In reality I tend to hold back verbally however after a few glasses of wine, that soon changes

In general day to day life, I am quietly confident and happy enough to hold a conversation with anyone, that doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
