I am in a freshly made bed

As is the electric blanket (low)

Pooch is snoozing away by my side

I have a Mount Gay Barbados rum and diet , served long over ice

First Aid Kit are playing quietly through the smart speaker

I have chats here to read and smirk at

I have others to ponder and learn from

I have pics to peruse

This, for me, is bliss

What Penhaligon's are you using? I introduced an old man friend to Halfeti (well Penhaligon's in general) and when he wears it I feel like I'm ovulating.

So how am I treating myself? Catching up on messages. Voice notes. My partner has gone out to buy me a tube grip as I've twisted my knee quite badly (but it was worth it).

I'm going to have an early night, watch an episode of something maybe. Maybe make a hot chocolate. And smile thinking about the past 24 hours.

I'm reclining on bed, resting my leg. I've been relatively busy today. I took Mr KC to his 08:00 train, requiring an 07:30 departure. I came home and did moving house admin all morning and tidied my kitchen AND washed up, all from my wheelchair! Novelty! After lunch, I pushed by wheelchair up to the new doctors to register - that's the biggest physical exertion I've had in over a month. But now my leg hurts quite a lot, so I'm propped up with giant pillows and doing nothing......

I saw my big sister for the first time in a while as she was dropping off birthday presents for tomorrow, which was nice.

Currently battening down the hatches and cuddling with the disabled mutt as I'm expecting to have some big emotions tomorrow and I'd like to be prepared for it.

But I have the end of the week to look forward to. And I know the rougher memories will fade with more time

Ah Castile is lovely! It's really quite expensive. Worth it though. I'm going to treat myself soon to one, can't decide which. Want to go into a store and get the silk scarf.

P.S shortly I'll be venturing up North. Like proper North. I've already checked, there's a bakery nearby. It's crumpet loaf time.

Turns out you can buy more Penhaligons for what it costs for a crumpet loaf in Notcutts*

You can readily get the shower gel for that scent too, which is always good in my book
