We met a couple quite a few years ago at their house and their pics were about 20 years out of date. We politely made our excuses and left.

I actually have a funny innocent story about catfishing.

I once had a chat with a gorgeous lady. She shared a pic of her and her mother, and she invited me over.

All the conversation, I assumed that person talking to me is the daughter, just to realise it is the mother when she welcomed me. Haha

There was a lot of awkwardness as I was sitting there waiting for the daughter, until she realized the mixup haha.. and she kept apologising for the mistake

Yes it’s happened a few times but two stories stand out.

1. Arranged to meet a guy off here. Very good looking. When he turned up at mine he wasn’t the person in the photos, but he was even better looking and had one of the best bodies I’ve ever seen. So I didn’t knock him back.

2. Someone messaged me wanting to meet, and sent me their photos, we chatted quite a while. When they turned up at mine they weren’t that person from the pictures - it was one of my friends. Once again I didn’t say no, I was actually happy about it.

Even though those were positive experiences, I have some nightmare stories too. It’s the reason why I hardly meet anyone these days. I’d definitely never meet anyone for the first time at my place any more.

No, we weren't that mean, lucky we used to always set an alarm for 15 mins and it sounds like a phone call so we said it was our child's nursery (was a day meet).

She pulls me to one side and said they’d invited him too, just in case I couldnt make it, but when he turned up he didn’t look anything like his pics
