Is it likely that someone would change info on a profile to get a meet/date? I state a few preference on here and another site and viewed a profile earlier and shortly after received a message from said person, when I looked again I'm convinced their info has changed.

Now I'm wondering if I'm going mad, I wouldn't even think of doing that. My brain isn't even that sneaky! Does it happen? Anyone else encountered it on here or elsewhere?? X

I would say yes, some people may change their info to get meets and meet certain people's needs and wants

I suspect that it happens a lot!

Many times I've responded to a message with a "No thanks, because we want different things" only to get a message back saying "Oh, well actually you can ignore my profile because what I really want is...."

Some people on here are very genuine - others get to be very good at saying what they think you want to hear! I don't know why because even if you meet, then it's soon going to become apparent that wants don't fit.

Seriously though - yes they do!

Straight becomes 'curious', people drop ages to get round filters (popular when they hit 30/40/50 etc), locations change, 'couples' suddenly become singles cos he/she 'is taking a break'!

All sorts happen - and they think we don't notice!!!

Yep. You look, see something that deters you, then they message, you look again and it's gone

Sometimes I wish you could see when they did the last profile changes,(Just so as I knew I wasn't loosing my marbles) but I dont really think it would stop them

I know I can't decide if I've gone crazy or really saw it, I'm pretty sure it's the latter so have responded accordingly x

I know someone who has 2 male profiles. Exactly the same pics but one is set up as bi and looking for tv's and men. The other is set up as looking for women.

i only have the one profile.

why would i want another?

if someone doesnt want to meet me changing my profile will not make a bit of difference.

if she/they wish to meet me i will appeal to them because im me. not something else.

It's the straight ones who are 'bi when it suits them' you have to watch out for!!

Yes people do change their details to match what you are looking for as I have had a guy send me a message and his profile stated that he loved big older women in tights, I mentioned it to him and the line disappeared without a comment. He then left the site and returned with a brand new profile but I recognised it instantly by what it said

suffice to say I told him where to get off when he sent me a message again
