Prefer union, can't buy into the 5 tackle rule.

Although there have been some great players that changed codes and lit up union

I agree. The game constantly stopping is very off-putting. But union is much harder to understand so not as easy to watch without being a fan.

But I'm a fan so it's a no brainer

Neither.

But the question isn't posed neutrally, so your result will be skewed.

The posh v working man is a lazy stereotype. Although you do have to be brighter to play union because you have to be alert to options; you don't have the choice to lay on the floor and pretend to be a recently landed fish. Union doesn't stop until there's an offence so players need to think more

But have you noticed the league influence lately. Lots more running and league type played rather than hoofing it

Oh, is there a "working man's" version of this sport? How quaint. I'm sure it'll take off like some other niche sports, like pickleball.

The way you've posed it.

Do you like proper real sport or do you like this thing I'm shitting on? Is basically what you've said.

Was bound to happen over time, as soon as the proffessionalised Union. Players were bound to get fitter and play more dynamic rugby.

The 'banter' is shite and always has been.

I can easily watch both and don't see the need for the nonsense.

Beetle ball

Kick and clap

Blah blah blah

I was brought up watching both codes.

And still love watching both.

Completely different games.

Its ironic that League used to poach a lot of Union players, when Union was still amateur.

Now its the other way round.

Having played both...id say League is more physical.

Im sure alot of you remember when the amazing Wigan team of the 90's entered the Middlesex 7's...and won.

That put a lot of Union noses out of joint.

Not remotely interested in League, but isn't it nice to have the choice?

As a long-time flanker and vry amateur forward coach, I'd lose out if we switched to League!

If you want the answer to the question, asking in the way you do won't get it.

I also think "banter" covers a lot of things that are unnecessary.

He seems to be getting plenty of answers/responses above, having asked it how he did.

Everyone else saw the joke.

So why start a row over a subject you arent even interested in??
