"I know most pig farms won't take waste food. It is against the law to give pigs, goats etc any food that has come from a kitchen. Ex pig owner.... Why aren't they allowed?" It goes back to the 80s or 90s when some under cooked pork waste from a school was fed to pigs and it started a big foot and mouth outbreak.... My question was what was a school doing feeding under cooked pork to children... So now you can cut up veg in your garden and give it to pigs no probs, but if you took it in to your kitchen to cut it up it would then be illegal to feed to livestock in case of cross contamination... Sorry for hijack... | |||
