Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the concept of your proposal?... but don't we already have our own inbox where our friends can message us...?

I asked this a while ago,

well not for a inbox specifically for friends, however some colour coding within the inbox.

In explanation, the messages are yellow, and I asked if messages, from friends could be a different colour, so at a glance I could see the friends ones,
