Absolutely love my job!

Yes I work every weekend 8pm till 5am, yes I work in the week 9to5, yes it’s very stressful and the hours suck dick! But the fun and friendship that comes with it certainly out weighs the shit!

Carlisle usually

I love my job.

My bosses appreciate me and make sure I'm compensated appropriately. If I work over my hours they tell me to take a free day off to make up for it and redelegate my workload so it doesn't happen again. My work is interesting and absorbing and I genuinely enjoy doing it, the company culture of actually recognising the staff and good colleagues are a pleasant bonus.

I love my job, the 2 other guys I work with, the 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating days and nights. Fairly easy job, get to watch films and sport whenever I can, pay's brilliant, can't think of a negative. Possibly the distance needed to travel, but it's shared between 2 of us.

Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters

I'm envious of all those who love or even like their jobs.

I get very, very little fulfilment or satisfaction from mine. And it's pretty bad pay, too. People always say that you either do something fun not much money, or something boring for a lot of money... and I get neither. I find myself wishing the week away so I can get to each weekend, so basically wishing most of my life away. Which is pretty sad.

I love my job

I have done a complete career change in the past year or so and am so much happier now than I was. I feel as though I am making a difference and the rewards I get are immense. My Boss and all my work colleagues are amazing and my health and well being are first and foremost which is almost unheard of nowadays. I am completely spoilt to find another company like this one.

"And no way you can change job at all? Easy enough to say I know not so easy to do."

Not for lack of trying!

Whether it's employment tribunals (mrs workplace, not mine), fibro health issues (mrs, not mine), pandemic breaking out (no furlough for me - both good and a bad thing), or just being told I'm too male and too white for the position at the time... no luck so far!

I'm holding out hope for that Euromillions win, though, then I can just have hobbies as my job

Another self employed here.

Have two businesses and went up to 7 staff in one, 5 in the other.

Love the process as artistic and chemistry.

But staff make it very hard and recently shrunk back since covid and now looking to setup in the EU.

Love the flexibility of being able to have a nice afternoon meet and lunch on a whim.

And if I don't like something, I can change it

Third time in the job I'm in and I enjoy the work but I don't like the place as much as I used to. The permanent staff are all being made redundant so tensions are rising, understandably. They've always been nit pickers over the slightest thing and it's making us temps very frustrated x

Absolutely.

I care for a severely disabled relative (with help from some wonderful nurses). It can be tiring, frustrating at times and the 'pay' is laughable but I wouldn't change it as it means he can remain at home where he belongs and loves to be. Seeing him laugh and smile and know he is safe is the best 'job' satisfaction I could ask for.

I had a two year spell where I hated my job. Now I'm in a new career where I'm supported, appreciated and valued the difference is HUGE.

Happy at work = happier in life. My children saw the difference when I left the toxic job. It would be lovely not to need the money, but society doesn't work like that.

I worked in pubs and restaurants up to a manager level for 15 years. 60 hour weeks. The parties were great when I was young but I eventually hated it and was severely burned out.

Then I spent 6 years as a stay at home dad a. Nd then went back to work at Aldi warehouse loading the trucks. And honestly I love it, 10 hour days, high wage, little responsibility and I get to work under minimal supervision. I fucking love it
