My upgrade is due in Feb (a long way off but Ilike yto research these things)

I currently have a HTC one s which to be fair is a good phone but me and HTC the company have bad joo boo between us so not sure I want another one!

I have been looking at the new Nokia lumia windows phone which looks funky with the active tiles etc but I know looks can be deceiving lol

Have also had a look at the Sony Xperia as well as that looks good.

I'm not a massive movie watcher or gamer on my phone but I use it a lot to surf the web or go on facebook etc I also use the sat nav quite a bit since mine died.

I know there is the iPhone option too but everyone I know has one of those and I like tobe a bbit different

third star on the right

My friend has the Lumia and I can't stand it! Windows seems to have hardly any apps after using the android App store. She loves it but it doesn't feel like it does much as you mooch through it.

I am loving Samsungs at the mo, the note is big but good and I have the S Advance which has 8gig built in memory plus your memory card.

Have a look and play in shops to see if you like windows/android and go from there

Hope this helps

L

Hi I have had HTC 8X since it was launched early nov in uk, I did look at the iphone but decided to stay with windows to keep my pc and phone the same, the live tiles are good and so is the xbox gaming, I mainly use it for work calls emails and internet with no probs whatsover and the Apps are slowly getting there but they have a long way to catch up with Apple in my opinion, also has word notes and excel.

sony xperia is the dogs bollox, operates on android,so the apps are free, with a bazillion choices, fantastic camera, easy to use,and unlike the i phone, you can actually use it as a phone.

i was going to say,if you go for the xperia, and you dont think it's the dogs bollox, you can shag me,but that will probably be ok,like it or not.

avoid the Windows one - too few apps - too many upgardes to the operating systems = outdated in weeks rather than months !!

android updates are minimal and most apps work across all the Android releases

We have had LOTS of phones - so please trust me (us)

I'd definitely stay with Android. Been looking around for a while and will probably buy an Xperia P today.

Have a look at the Xperia S if you want something bigger.

I love my HTC One-X and had an HTC Desire HD before it. I think my next phone will also be an HTC. I looked at a windows phone, aswell as the iPhone, but neither of them felt as intuitive.

I have a new Lumia 820 & I'm loving it. Wouldn't go back to android now given the choice. Very intuitive to use and extremely easy to sync all your social media to one personal tile, plus all messages/e-mails etc. I'm not s heavy app user though as i find most to be pointless. Good camera and camera apps though. Much better for me than my previous HTC android phone that dropped calls, dropped the internet etc.

"everyone" hasn't got an Iphone. Think

if you look at the sales figures you'll see that android phones kick its ass as they are all cheaper and less hassle.
