First of all I am sorry if it’s not the right place but the main reason such a post on fab is privacy

So I am an immigrant professional and was approached by a multi National company to work for, left my country for a better life quality and since I moved I was the employer of the year three time in 6 years

I am not white, never been involved with any problems and keeping my head down and my life is only work and exercising not by choice only but cause I don’t have much friends to socialise with

2 weeks ago I was cycling back home from work and there was 3 teenagers who saw me and they started to cycle faster behind me so I meant to slow down to give them room and chance to overtake me

Once they were by my side , they spat on my face and clothes , laughing , calling me immigrant and running away

I was in a shock that i didn’t know how to react, didn’t expect someone would do that to another human

I didn’t even do anything wrong to anyone , I don’t look bad , i dress well and I respect everyone

I can’t stop thinking about it, why would someone would do that to me , I can’t sleep, I can’t work . I am just thinking of it over and over

I have a mix of negative feelings

Not sure if someone been through that before

Thanks

Unfortunately you have been one of many brats target on a daily basis. Some people just love to be shitty to others. OP, I am so sorry this should have happened to you.

This is a seemingly increasing trend with ignorant c@nts in this country. Unfortunately it is fuelled by a government that seems bent on vilifying anyone who is or appears to be from another country.

It is disgusting and it makes me sick that this behaviour is becoming increasingly associated with the nation in which I was born.

It truly makes me very angry and sick to my stomach

Hey OP

It's a shame your first forum post is this but if you want to share then go ahead. There are, as it's been said, some people that have no regard for others and this behaviour and attitude just shines the light on the twats. You cannot allow others to bring you down, they don't know you and i know that it's hard to do but thinking on them is a waste of your time. Don't let them do that. A simple mind exercise is when you let that thought in say I'm better than that out loud and breathe it out

Trust me it works x

First of all I'm so sorry you were treated so appallingly, children are often the product of their upbringing...and often do it to show off in front of their mates.however,it doesn't make it right at all ..as many others have said there is so little respect for people these days, they can do virtually anything and there are no consequences. Secondly I would like to commend you on your English, you are far more eloquent in your language than the majority of British people. I hope this is a one off and that you're able to let this incident go and not affect you going forward x

It's sounds like an appalling experience.

In my experience it's not about you. They would have done it to anyone else that was there. To a woman. To a smaller person. To anyone alone to be fair. I am sorry to hear that you have not been able to let go yet but it is understandable that you feel the way you do.

Did you report it to the police?

How did they know you are an immigrant?

As you have been here six years you will know how good most people are.

I’m so so sorry OP. Sometimes shitty people do shitty things. It’s nothing to do with you, as others have said, but it doesn’t make you feel any better, does it? Because all you’re doing is living your life, the best way you can, not hurting anyone - and then someone comes along to deliberately cause hurt and bad feeling for no reason.

Karma will get them though x

I am really sorry to hear of this incident. They were clearly in the wrong, and what is more, acting in that typically cowardly manner of attacking only when in numbers.

They do not act on behalf of the majority of people, but alas the irony of their awful behaviour is seemingly lost on them.

As much as possible please try to put it from your mind.

I'd report it to the Police, OP. There might be CCTV on the route or doorbell cam or something? As we've seen from recent news, sometimes wayward youths (or older people) can commit horrible crimes on the back of little or no provocation.

We are so sorry you've experienced this, in the UK. I'm descended from immigrants, but they happened to be white, so no-one realises. White, but not Caucasian. It pisses me off to hell that there's such anti immigrant rhetoric going on and the Govt itself doesn't help at all.

So sorry to hear that you were subjected to such xenophobic abuse.

If it makes you feel any better, it's coming from teen yobbos who are bound to have ASBOs in the very near future going by the sound of it. Not full blown adults. Feel sorry for them that they clearly haven't received proper education in school nor proper parenting to be respectful and civil members of public society.

And know that you've already accomplished so much in your life that's recognised by real adults and professionals in your industry that it outweighs whatever BS others who can't hold a candle to you think or say to your face (when they have the guts to before running away that is!).

Its been mentioned before and it doesn't make things any better but these little shit bags were probably out to try and get a rise out of whoever they could.

Sadly respect seems to have gone out the window and kids think they are untouchable these days. It makes you wonder what kind of upbringing they are getting.

Just remember, the good far outweighs the bad.

Take care.

For a lot of us it is a daily occurrence, I've never been spat at, but name calling, attempts to stitch me up at work interference in my relationships and having to defend myself against racists who wish to harm me.

These incidents usually happen to me when I am alone.

Now I realise that racism is not my problem, the culture I identify with are not racist, I was never taught to be a racist.

But growing up in an all white society (I never came across another black person other than family until high school).

I saw how racist views and beliefs are transferred to young minds, a bit like radicalisation, you/us then take the brunt of that belief, they're like terrorists really.

When a culture becomes toxic it is down to that culture to deal with the issues like labour and its anti Semitic problems.

This will keep on happening to you im afraid O.P, now you have noticed you will see it everywhere.

I can't see a solution as it isn't our issue to solve,
