Does anyone know how long it is from the eggs being put in vinegar to being ready to eat ?

Just in case no one notices , but isn't really a swinging related question .

Oo’er,,, I do like a vinegar tinged hard boiled egg with lashing of salt, so my case it’s about as long as I can resist temptation….

So I guess that’s about 2 hours…….

About a month.

Should be bottled and stored in a dark place for better results.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Try and leave them for a month. Also quails eggs pickle well with just a dash of chilli in the vinegar. They only take a week or so.

You can use dried. How strong do you want the chilli to be? It depends on the size of your jars/quantity of vinegar. I don't like it too hot so I just put about half a chilli in with a pint of vinegar.

There's ten eggs and two pints of sarsons pickling vinegar .

Should I use dried whole or the bits out of a shaky thing that you buy from morrisons ( Know all the technical cooking words me )

Are you using a white pickling vinegar? If it's malt then the eggs will go brown.

I don't know what the shaky thing is from Morrisons. I'd use a whole dried one but broken.

In Your Bush

If you are in a hurry 10 seconds. Just dip it in the vinegar then chuck it in your bag of crisps and you're ready to go

The vinegar isn't as nice on your chips as onion vinegar though.

Crisps lickety not chips. You have a pickled egg in a packet of ready salted Walkers

Does anyone know how long they keep though? Got a jar that says best before 2010, never been opened and always refrigerated.

The only thing putting me off eating them is if they're not good to eat anymore as I love pickled eggs!

Unfortunately I do but that's not egg related as I haven't had one in years. Clearly I'm just unlovable!
