You can ask.. Its down to the person to answer the question and hopfully will be honest... I could say I am STD free but be walking around with anything... hence why no glove no love...

Better to ask than presume! Some will lie whatever but some may be honest if you ask so its ok in our boos to ask and never insulting to be in the receiving end of a question like that.

It is not WRONG to ask, but in our opinion it is a bit pointless.

Unless you have a way of chcking if they are telling the truth, you are safrer assuming they are not clear.

Also, even in the old days of clinics issuing "certificates", they were only stating that they did not have anoything at the point they were tested. the day after the test they may have caught something.

i wouldnt ask such a question because the chances are they will say what they think you want to hear rather than the truth so whats the point in asking

You can ask.... But unless you've been to the GUM clinic with them.... Stayed by their side every minute between testing...and gone along to get their results with them..... Then you'll never know...

My local GUM Clinic don't give you written results... You call an automated phone line and use a unique patient number and results are given via phone, so it wouldn't always be possible to "show"

A test result isnt worth the paprer its written on, as soon as that person walks out the clinic they clould go and have unprotected sex and the result would be void on the same day of testing

Some clinics text their results so you could always ask for that. Unfortunately they could have worked their way through a battleship since then but they would have been clean for an hour or so.

as others have said.. the piece of paper is only useful at the time you take the test... from the point where they start playing again it is worthless....

so short of a lie detector what are you going to do....

as everyone in the thread has said... all you can do is protect yourself the best way you can

With all respect to everyone on here even if you've known someone a while ,you could never be sure and neither could they, no one gets into the disco without a jacket !

So you meet someone for the first time an they say yep I'm fine let's go bareback .......you'd have to be mad!
