What is the thrill with taking someone else's partner from them?

Or trying to?

Do people do this when it's been done to them?

Or is it just a kink?

Or an ego boost?

I'm genuinely trying to work this one out.

Does it make you more the man/woman if you manage it?

I know some people set out deliberately to do that but I think the other person must willingly go rather than be taken. Nobody who's completely satisfied with their relationship leaves it, do they? I honestly don't know.

I know some women like to fuck partnered men because it makes them feel as if they're better than their wife of girlfriend. One woman I knew used to phone the guys partner afterwards.

It's hateful.

Many on here seem to see the sex as cheap currency and lay waste to others without a thought.

Just a dick a day.

Veris tossed off like confetti and the next sucker lined up before the sheets are cold.

If they put no value on the sex or the person they are fucking then it doesn't matter, doesn't count, it's just a fuck, no harm done. No one is allowed to be bothered if they aren't.

It's devastating for others on the other side of connections though.

The seedier side of fab for sure.

Could be a myriad reasons, be it ego, financial, anger, self-esteem, lack of love, low commitment, need for variety, neglect, lust, etc.

Please, I'm not judging anyone here, it's just my opinion in believing it's not ok with you saying "In the name of God, I, xxxxx, take you, xxxxx, to be my (husband/wife), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death.", it's not then ok to cheat

Trust being the foundation of any meaningful relationship.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned...!

Competitive sports are very popular, the endorphins rush of winning is very strong. And many people go out of their way to feel that rush again. Look at the smugness when England win for example. No well done to the other team. Its all yeah we buried them.

For our world being "naughty" and "getting one over another" is very popular and many many people do it. There are some popular kinks made from it. And sometimes the grass being greener, feelings take over and the cracks appear. I've know of couples, that used 3rds as sticking plasters on their relationships and we weren't surprised when they ran off together

I used to have a friend like this.

She would deliberately go after married men as she liked knowing they were risking everything just to fuck her.

She didn't like it so much when the guy she had a baby with cheated on her though.

To go after someone you know is in a relationship just smacks of low self esteem and generally just being a huge fucking dickhead. There's a few about.

I've known a few women like this and I think they believe it somehow makes them superior. But the reality is you're an easy option, a bit on the side and you could never compare to what he has.

I'm a bit of a hypocrite as I wouldn't be put off by a married man but I wouldn't ever befriend someone who seeks out married men and gets off on cheating. It's a selfish and nasty trait to have and says a lot about someone.

We would never kink shame anyone but this is one I just can’t get with. To actively go looking for attached people says a lot about a person and as your friend experienced - they don’t/ won’t feel the same way when it happens to them.

I’ve never done it but I’ve had people attempt to do it to me. One of the standout ones, I texted from his phone and arranged to meet her at a shopping centre for a date… where I turned up and it’s probably best that I don’t disclose the rest.

Looking back, she was doing me a favour and I should have just let her have him.

Seemingly it happens either with men or women thats why most of us have run away from the ideas of relationships and one reason why am here too! But typically am looking couples or group fun...

Though I am very sure a few I've met weren't single at all and it shows really! But yeh happens in real life too and its shocking...

But men get interest off another women and like the idea of playing away and getting caught and same for women...I've experienced both in my life time in relationships and with friendships (fwbs) its all to do with an ego trip I reckon...but am hoping to stay clear of both situations from now on!

Cause I know what it's like to be betrayed and cheated on! I certainly wouldn't like to do that to another person...

I personally don't think a person can be taken who isn't ready to be plucked out of their situation.

So yeah, fault on both sides.

A cheater will cheat.

A keeper will brush off anyone outside of their relationship and give them no 'in' to work on.

You do see people who blame the other man/woman for their partner's infidelity, as if their partner is a poor, hapless fool unable to resist the charms of a vile seducer.

People cheat for two reasons either they're unhappy for one of a million reasons or they're the type of opportunist who does it just because they can.

I often see people say things like "I just couldn't help it" or "the inevitable happened"

It wasn't inevitable and you could help it, you're a grown adult with a functioning brain, take responsibility for your actions.

It's basically trophy hunting behaviour, done by people who think they have huge egos and the balls/tits to back it up when in reality they're actually deeply insecure inside and can't feel happiness unless it's built on other people's misfortunes.

I may be wrong, but I'm reading this as more of a Fab specific question, rather than a general life question. With the couple being two singles that have formed a relationship, and the others being people that one or the other have had previous dalliances with in a Fab sense.

I see that as a combination of jealousy and bruised ego. Perhaps they wanted more from that person after meeting and those deeper feelings weren't reciprocated. I'm positive that at least in some cases there's a sense of 'why are they good enough when I wasn't?' Some people are spiteful enough to disrespect the relationship and try to tempt that person to still meet them, rather than just having happy memories of the fun times they had together and moving on.

That's my best guess, but we never really know what motivates others to do anything.

In a fab sense I see people get used and dropped like party favors all the time.

You see the updates and veris flying about.

Flavour of the week, sex bombed then ghosted.

It's hard to watch.

Devastating to get the short end.

Getting with a 'popular' fabber to see what the fuss is about them or to become popular yourself or to try and network your way through fab by fucking your way up the popularity tree is grim and a massive turn off to me.

If a sleazy gig with ones they actually don't like on a personal level trumps a more intimate and genuine arrangement, or if a group sex event is worth more to them to keep in with the 'IT group' of the day to guarantee future invitations... then that kills any attraction for me and blows up the connection.

Doesn't make it not hurt though.

A loss is a loss is a loss.

It totally depends on exactly what you mean?

If you're talking about being with a hot wife while her cuck husband watches (or sometimes partakes in a submissive role), then I don't see it as taking the wife away. I'm just there to enjoy myself and give pleasure to others. It's not a power-play thing. There's always the understanding that the love is between the couple and I'm there just for playtime.

If you're talking about actively trying to "steal" someone's partner, it's not something I've ever done. For me, it's a pretty abhorrent thing to do.

I like to think I'm giving the woman a break from the relentless sleep pokes in the back. Lol!

I'm taking them off the woman's hands for a bit so she can do her own thing. ( sleep, look after kids, go to work, fuck other men)

Not sure about bi-men. I've been a wife and I distinctly remember wanting to sleep and feeling pressure to have sex with my husband as some sort of wifely duty.

In the grand scheme of things, my sleep was probably more important than his need for sex but I just went along with it because I wanted him to be happy.

Now I'm not a wife.....I've been single for 9 years and I definitely don't want to take someone's man. I like looking after me only and not someone else's man-child. Lol! You ladies can keep them.

He looked so good in his suit.. we had a good hour or two in their.. he said he had to to see the bride and groom off and would see me soon..

Stopped replying to my texts....I got worried and asked a mutual friend.. who said he's on his honeymoon.. I felt sick and so guilty . As the realisation that I'd slept with him in his honeymoon suite on the night of his wedding.

As to why people do it.. I think its a challenge... I stay single as had it happen a few times x "

I'm sorry you were lied to and treated in such an abhorrent way.

"You do see people who blame the other man/woman for their partner's infidelity, as if their partner is a poor, hapless fool unable to resist the charms of a vile seducer.

People cheat for two reasons either they're unhappy for one of a million reasons or they're the type of opportunist who does it just because they can.

I often see people say things like "I just couldn't help it" or "the inevitable happened"

It wasn't inevitable and you could help it, you're a grown adult with a functioning brain, take responsibility for your actions."

I've agreed with your posts so far completely.

One thing that really gets me is when a partner is viewed as too weak to resist the advances of someone else. To me that's insult to the intelligence of that person and their strength and says they aren't in the relationship for the right reasons. And if they are viewed as unable to resist doesn't that mean that they were to weak to resist the advances of their partner in the first place. The partner thinks they are only there because they managed to crack them easily? An insult given with a back at you attached!

I think this happens quite often towards women, men can be possessive and want other guys to get lost in fear of them making advances (knowing how men think) on the woman and her being to weak or stupid to deal with them.

I know this applies the other way round too though.

Do people do this when it's been done to them?

Or is it just a kink?

I'm genuinely trying to work this one out.

Does it make you more the man/woman if you manage it?

Haha! Love the assumption. It could be me someone is tryung to take of C.

It's neither though. And not fab specifically. This is just a general question based on conversations I'd had with friends.

Yes, and some women in unhappy relationships are desperate to be taken away and I imagine that gives some men an ego boost , but for me it’s a big red flag, it’s the worst type of woman to get involved with

If someone waits to be taken away from an unhappy relationship they probably are the worst type of person to get involved with. If you're willing to put up with a bad relationship until a better offer comes along you're probably very passive I'd reckon

the single women approaching the male to meet behind partners back happens a lot. I had a lady wait till I went to the toilet to ask my fella once.. he couldn't see why I was furious when he told me.

Several male halves in couples I’ve met have asked me to meet alone once we’ve met in person. I suppose without their other half knowing. Sometimes I have, sometimes I haven’t met them again. But I have zero interest in interfering with their relationship. I have enough complications with my own! one of them I think the lady put as a condition they blocked me so she would get back together with him, lol…. (He did and they did!) We are all adults and I’m not going to be policing relationship status or health of the people I see.

Same with some people I classify as friends now and I care a lot about them. My mind wanders sometimes and I think what would it be like to be in a relationship with them but it’s a couple of minutes thing and then feet are back firmly on the ground. I have enough problems as it is to add any more haha

Many years ago my girlfriend now wife went off and had a fling with the local casanova for two weeks we then got back together but looking back more than forty years later I realise I never could feel the same about her after, she has always denied that anything sexual ever happened between them lol. Strange thing is I would love to see her fucked by another guy now.

Looking back, she was doing me a favour and I should have just let her have him.

"I've known a few women like this and I think they believe it somehow makes them superior.

Yes, I completely agree...there's a big difference. Similarly, I'm perfectly fine meeting married women, but wouldn't go out of my way to do anything to split up her marriage.

That would be seriously evil...

It might not answer OP’s question exactly but whenever I’m with a couple or a single member of a couple , it’s not about taking one of them from the other but about the privilege of being invited to share an experience with them. It’s not about the taking but about being given something if that makes sense?

What you're describing is perfectly fine. It's a shared experience with one or two more people that's completely consentual, and where no-one is trying to deliberately split up a partnership / relationship.

You're clearly enjoying yourself, as are the other parties...and that's why we're all on here, right? Xx
