Every child has a right to a private childhood

Its become out of order what they are doing to their kids

What happens if something happens to one of the perants

I really thing they need to stop it now

they are starting to put their kids at risk

or someone got to do is really take a dis like to what they are doing well you dont need me to say the rest

they need to give their kids some privatecy

is what I think

"Sorry, can you give some context please?"

I’m assuming it’s a TV programme.

I’m also guessing it’s probably on Channel 5.

Who is?

I can only assume someone has a very large family.

In my opinion, it is nobody elses business if people choose to have a lot of children.

Nor do I see how a large family puts the children at risk.

I'm guessing she's referring to The Radford Family.

There used to be one called 19 kids and counting.

If you want to find out why it's been taken off the air, I'll say I can't be specific on the forum due to forum rules, which I hope qualifies as a trigger warning. The eldest son is in prison for related crimes to that.

I haven't seen recent series but I saw an older one. They seem very self-reliant and capable of raising them and funding them through their own income.

It's no one's business but theirs.

Seems to be the case.

I still don't see why these children are at risk any more than those of other families who go on TV.

Guessing they claim child allowance and other benefits for them all?

Nobody needs more than one- if anyone wants more than that, you obviously have sufficient spare cash to fully fund your lifestyle choice, so number 2 onwards shouldn't be eligible for anything

That's a different family. They are an American family, 22 kids and counting is a British family called The Radford's.

They don't claim benefits other than child benefit which most people can claim. Why would you "guess" they were claiming loads of benefits just because they have so many kids?

You also can't claim certain benefits after either the 3rd or 4th child (I can't remember which one it is)

You aren't eligible for benefits for more than 2 children these days, unless it's a multiple birth.

I remember from the first documentary that they made on the family it was made very very clear that they were self-funded from their family bakery.

I think the only thing they received was child benefit and it is indeed capped.
