"Get ahead of the message before the paps do and try to ruin his career! " I very much doubt he came out willingly. 'Coming out' shouldn't exist.

"Get ahead of the message before the paps do and try to ruin his career! " Possibly... Shame that they feel they have to do that isn't it?

"Jakub jankto, Czech International footballer comes out as gay and makes the news. Now. On the one hand. What has his sexuality got to do with anyone else but himself.? But.. I know how toxic the football environment can be so very brave for him to share that publicly. Hope it makes him happy for sharing. It's a matter of time before a Premier League player is "exposed" either by media or a jealous ex, former colleague etc etc. The law of averages says there is will be a number of gay players at least in the Premier League. Unfortunately I don't see it being very well accepted by the football crowds. The governing bodies will try their best but the terraces or stands will not be as forgiving. " This kind of thing boils my piss. What does it matter?! He won’t be as good at football because he’s gay? The fact that “being exposed” for being gay is still a thing is feckin unbelievable.

Remaining will be empathetic towards the players, they will certainly be a minority.

"Just look at the reaction to rainbow flags/armbands in the Premier League and you’ll know we’ve got a long way to go before gay people are fully accepted in football. " I kind of just said it above but I'll say it again rephrased I guess since it's more relevant. I don't think it's a case of not accepted by the majority, most fans don't actually care gay or straight they just don't want to hear about it. Very much a case of "shut up and kick the ball, we don't care". As usual it's the media that stir it up. In the case of coming out though, I do think it's important to push that it is normalised and give courage to others to not hide.

However this should not even be a issue anymore for anyone. The fact its such a big story is sad.

"I don't know why bisexual men on here prefer to have their profile listed as straight." From reading previous threads on that and also from various females/couples, bisexual men are often specifically excluded from what they want to meet. So i guess they're hiding it to dodge that?

So i guess they're hiding it to dodge that? °°° That too. " °°° I think negotiating a connection under false pretenses is wrong on every level. Besides the fact it's lying, you can't circumvent a person's free right to choose who they are intimate with. Indefensible. And it doesn’t matter what the other person's reasons are for not wishing to meet with a bi individual. That's a whole other conversation. The choice is theirs full stop. Take their bias up in a seperate debate but don't try to con them. Tbh I can't see why a bi person would ever wish to meet and be intimate with a person who had issues with bi-sexuality.

A simple case of heterosexuality meaning zero attraction is less of a headline than pushing a hate agenda.

I feel strongly that people should have control over their coming out. The only thing that would be an issue with keeping it hidden is if they were to see a profile that says the person is only looking straight / straight and still pursues a connection knowing they themselves aren't straight. It's all these grey areas where people need to act with integrity and perhaps won't to get the meet.
