I was recently asked if I “passed the loo roll test” re: girth.

A bit naive but now I understand it, yes I do. Doesn’t every man? Can’t get it on at all….

But not all loo rolls are the same width. If you get cheap ones they can be a lot wider to make it look like you're getting more for your money. Plus some are narrower for eco credentials.

There should be an industry standard, for calibration purposes. The Andrew Test might be more specific?

I employ the kitchen roll test. It fits in but doesn't come out the other end.

I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. The brand that I use is called "Plenty™" but I'm not sure if that's a misnomer in my case.

I may try "Bounty™" but I fear with that it's also a foregone conclusion.
