I just got a Google 7. It's alright, same as all the other androids out there. As long as I can watch porn, sport and listen to music, I'm a happy guy

It's a good phone then.

I've had my Huawei P30 Pro for nearly two years now (not on a contract) and thought it might be time for a change. The trouble is there just doesn't seem to be anything better on the market

I had the same phone. With EE, you can't get Huawei phones anymore...I was gutted. Not sure if it's the same with other networks?!? The charging port stopped working on mine, I had to change it.

I decided the only phone I would buy to replace mine was another the same, so I didn't bother. If it starts to go wrong and a factory reset won't sort it out I'll think again

Don't bother with the S22, I 'upgraded' from the s20 ultra and I'd love to have the old phone back, faster, better battery life and all round batters it for quality.

Consider going to a SIM only contract if you haven't already.

Do you prefer iPhone or Android?

The S22 Ultra is an awesome bit of kit. I'll be keeping mine til it dies. The new 23 has pretty much one upgrade - a 200MP camera. But 108MP does the job well enough.

Mobiles have pretty much reached the limit on what they can offer these days so buying something 'old' still gets you a great phone.

I'm running a 6 year old Sony phone. Still go going strong.

Why create ewaste by getting a new one just for the sake of it when it's still working?

If the s22 ultra is like the s20 ultra then you made the right call, I think it's time for me to check those trade in prices

I've always gone for the top spec model. Not for bragging rights but because it's (obviously) the best spec, but will also be worth more come trade in time.

Unless phones start giving blowjobs or driving cars for you, I can't think of any new feature that would make me rush to change this one.

Yep, I bought an S20 Ultra when it first came out, and haven't been convinced by any of the reviews of upgrades. It hasn't missed a beat in however many years. I bet, OP, you could pick up one fairly cheaply now. But definitely go for the Ultra.
