Sexual Spark

Ive been in my current relationship for 5 years and we had a fantastic sex life to begin with, however now if we are intimiate once a month its a miracle, which is causing me to lose all interest, and look elsewhere for pleasure. Im guessing im not alone here, and therefore Im looking to see how other people have managed to rekindle that sexual spark.

Communication. If you can’t go to your partner with your concerns, discuss it and come to some sort of compromise then sex is the least of your problems.

The worst thing you could do is go behind their back and cheat - that will only push you further and further apart and will end in heartbreak. You need to talk to them about this - if you can't, then that's a while other story

Is it all about sex or has the intimacy gone too?

Sex is, quite often, used as a sticking plaster for other things that are lacking

Whichever it is, talk about it, talk some more and talk some more again

Whatever you are feeling, your other half is probably acutely aware of already and may be waiting for the opportunity to talk too

I'm guessing your other half probably isn't happy either

You need to sit and have an open honest conversation with her and see if it can be improved.

Being on here behind her back won't help though & people often have suspicions when it comes to their partners cheating.

I appreciate everyones responses, I have tried to communicate on nunerous occassions and i get told im moaning. To me intimacy forms an important part to any relationship, even as much as cuddles, kisses to me is crucial, i have always been an affectionate guy and by being that im forever being told im needy.

Maybe Im a fool for having a heart

So what if you're moaning? If they don't want to listen to you there's more problems than just the lack of physical intimacy.

Talk it through, or break it off.

Talk to your partner and tell them how you feel, that sex is important to you and you need to find a way so that you're both happy and satisfied. Cheating isn't the answer.

If you not prepared to live without sex lay your cards on the table and see if she'll let you seek it elsewhere..if she won't you need to decide if you want to just carry on meeting behind her back or leave the relationship.

Did you think about posting this - or having conversations like this - before you looked elsewhere?

My guess would be that it's gonna be a whole lot harder to resolve things now.
