Detectives leading the investigation into the Savile abuse case, Operation Yewtree, have expanded their inquiries and the decision has been taken to arrest the 1970s. All of it. Specially high waist trousers and them silly striped belts with the loop buckle. And anyone who had a perm.

I was surprised when I heard JD (obe) had been taken in, but a friend of mine said he wasn't surprised as 'he was in the thick of the crowd'.

I'm undecided as to whether I am naive or he is jaded in this matter though
