I just can't seem to get my eggs right! Cooked but still the slime on the top, or they break.

Any food that challenges you when you cook it?

Hold the egg with it standing up big head part down.

Crack the egg just under half way down - remove the little chin part and leave the egg sitting in the little bowl you just made with it's own shell.

Gently lower it into warm oil and bingo.

Cover the pan for one minute so that the egg top cooks in the steam.

Remove lid. If still slimy put lid back on for a few seconds.

Not for long though or they go hard.

No .... food does not challenge me.

I'm shit with anything that needs a feminine touch tho ...... like fine cake decor. I'm cheap n cheerful.

I’m fine with scrambled, boiled and poached eggs. Omelettes too but…

I can’t for the life of me get my dumplings right. They are either like bullets or, a complete stodgy mess

Bexley

I add copious amounts of mayonnaise to my omelette mix and a little bit to my scrambled egg. Scrambled egg I do in the microwave, in half minute increments until it is just right.
