Probably the best series I've watched for a long time,I'm watching 1923 at the moment, for those unaware these two limited series (think they might do S2 of 1923) are prequels to Yellowstone,1883 is the story of an emigrant wagon train heading across the plains in search of Oregon with brutal heartbreaking results

Anybody seen this series?

1950's Original

It was watchable..little too much of the story on her and her two love interests..could have had more accuracy(" get rid of your oxen, get horses"),when both were used according to Ray Mears " how the wild west was won" 3-part series...

If you liked 1883 you'd like Ray Mears series.. especially near the end of third episode,a horse and rider going down a nearly vertical cliff which seems impossible ..but it's what happened in the 1800s...fantastic television piece.

I absolutely love Yellowstone.

Took a bit to get into 1883 but loved it by the end.

I am waiting until all episodes are there before I watch 1923.

I've watched 5 and it's good but not as compelling as 1883

I also find Helen mirren very irritating so I'm happy to wait til they're all there.

Officially it's only available on Paramount+ although I downloaded it via torrents. Watching the last 2 episodes tonight and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far, Sam Elliott is a tour de force in keeping this wagon train rolling. If you only have Netflix I can recommend another unconventional western "Godless" It a pity Netflix didn't renew this for a second season.

I’ve just finished watching Yellowstone, up to mid point of season 5, absolutely incredible viewing. Love the characters, particularly Beth, Kelly Reilly is one of my favourite actresses anyway.

Ive been around horses all my life but seeing those horses on there is just amazing, I’ve decided I’m going over there at some point to see in the flesh.

I hope it continues for a long time but some of the stuff on social media indicates it may finish after series 5.

So have now started 1883, just one episode, and I can see it’s got great potential. Find it interesting that Tim Magraw is starring with his wife Faith Hill, as a married couple on the show.

Taylor Sheridan has come a long way since he got shot in Sons of Anarchy.

"

You'll need to sideload the above app on a Firestick using the Downloader app.

To sideload on a Firestick, you will need to enable "Developer Options" on your Firestick. To do this, go to the Firestick's "Settings" menu, then select "Device" and then "Developer Options." Turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources." You will then be able to install apps from outside of the official Amazon Appstore by downloading the app's APK file and using a file manager app to install it on your Firestick.

Go to the Firestick's home screen and search for the "Downloader" app.

Install and open the Downloader app.

In the Downloader app, enter the URL https://smartyoutubetv.github.io and click on the Go button. When the website is done loading, scroll down. Click Stable or Beta release located under the Downloads heading. (I find the Beta version is best for me).

Once the download is complete, the Downloader app will ask if you want to install the app. Select "Install" and wait for the installation to complete.

Once the installation is complete, you will be asked if you want to open the app. Select "Open" to launch the app, or select "Done" to exit the installer.

After these steps, the app will be installed on your Firestick and you can find and launch it from the Firestick's home screen.

For more info on the program goto https://smarttubenext.com and https://www.firesticktricks.com/smarttubenext-on-firestick.html

Hope this helps.

Exactly.

In episode 1, he even gets called a "fucking jock", after calling the cattle farmers who killed his sheep as "those mick bastards right there"

I like Jerome Flynn as an actor, but its an awful attempt at a Scottish accent.

If I had a criticism it is that I feel 1923 is a bit too drawn out, perhaps would’ve been better if by the end of season 1 Spencer and Alex had reached Montana. That said, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for the return of one of the shows.

In the meantime, have started watching Tulsa King, another of Taylor Sheridans creations and enjoying it so far.
