One for the ladies here please. I was in a high street chemist the other day and whilst I was waiting, I noticed a range of concealer aimed at men. I was wondering for a date or a meet how would you react if the guy was wearing some sort of light make up?

My skin is bad at the moment so I’d feel more confident if I was wearing it, but not necessarily on a meet because of the intimacy and I’d be wondering what the other person was thinking.

And yes im an over thinker

I like men with obvious make up so I'd be fine with it.

It's unfair that women are allowed to trowel it on but if a man wears even concealer or eyeliner he would be thought of badly by many people.

Personally, not for me, but then I don’t wear make up myself. Do whatever makes you feel better

Doesn't mater if the makeup was hardly noticeable or completely obvious, if I liked the guy it definitely wouldn't put me off, probably the opposite to be honest

I wouldn't mind, if it makes them feel comfortable I have no problem with it. My skin can sometimes be bad and make up is a blessing!

Definitely, if us women can make ourselves feel better with a bit of make up, why not men. Would be a bit put off if they turned up wearing more than me though lol

I'm down with make up in a dressed up way in the right circs.

Concealer or equivalent would definitely put me off though - on anyone.

I'm much more comfortable with someone comfortable with their (and my!) blemishes than with someone who is trying to hide them.

I've got no issue with it. You do what you want to feel better about yourself.

(Although I suspect it functions the same as "female" concealer, so if it's more expensive than that, just get the regular stuff. Also make sure you have a good match to your skin)

If you’re going to use concealer just buy one from a range targeted to women. The men’s range cosmetics have a poor tone match range but aside of the packaging it’s the same stuff. If you want more than spot corrections but not foundation try a BB cream which will even out skin colour and blemishes without being full on makeup.

Honestly couldn't care less - for us, attraction is about whether or not we click with other people and not about what they look like. And something that's really attractive to me at least, is people being comfortable in their own skin, whatever form that takes

Yep, just go to Boots / Superdrugs and on their normal shelves are

BB or CC creams. Or even Tinted Moisturisers by the likes of Olay, Garnier, L'Oréal etc.

Should be less than £5 for a tube that'll last you a long time (if only wearing out on dates).

We really should remove gender barriers. It's a mindset that imprisons you...
